THE CREW
Urban Youth Equestrians
Empowering Growth, Fostering Belonging through Transformative Experiences while Connecting with Horses.
Community. Relationships. Empowerment. Well-being.
The CREW Urban Youth Equestrians is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth who identify as Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) through the transformative power of equestrian experiences. Rooted in our core tenets of Community, Relationships, Empowerment, and Well-being, we create an inclusive space where individuals of all backgrounds can connect, grow, and thrive.
Our programs combine hands-on interactions with horses, personal development opportunities, and a strong sense of belonging to nurture confidence, resilience, and life skills.
By fostering compassionate relationships and celebrating diversity, we aim to inspire growth and build a supportive community that extends far beyond the barn. At The CREW, we're not just about horses, but also about transforming lives.
Discover Our Program
Where young minds and spirits grow alongside horses.
Our membership program blends hands‑on learning with personal growth. Students—our mentees—begin on the ground, learning horse care and natural horsemanship. As they build skill and confidence, they transition into riding, guided every step of the way by trusted mentors.
Along this journey, they discover trust in themselves and their choices, develop emotional resilience, and gain technical skills that reach far beyond the arena.
Here, we don't just teach riding skills; we help young riders harness their potential.
What is a CREW Membership?
More than riding lessons — a place to grow, belong, and shine.
At The CREW, we empower young riders through a hands‑on, culturally rooted program that builds confidence, connection, and community.
Our journey starts on the ground — teaching horse care and foundational skills — and grows into riding lessons that spark courage and self‑discovery.
